Hi! I’m Shannon.
I’d love to tell you I come from a long line of bakers… but the truth is, it’s just me.
What started as a mission to prove to myself I could cook quickly turned into something much bigger — a passion I couldn’t ignore.
How it Started
I baked my first pie (nectarine blueberry) on a whim after stopping at a little roadside market.
When I saw the look on my husband’s face after his first bite… it was love at first site.
Me and baking that is.
The Leap
Ten years later, I finally did the thing that terrified me most.
I left my career in the medical field and jumped headfirst into my first bakery job.
The more I baked and decorated, the more something inside me came alive.

From Sammies to Chunkers
À La Mode actually began with a little ice cream sandwich bike.
But when winter came, I realized I needed something delicious that didn’t rely on sunshine and ice cream. So I started experimenting with thick, bakery-style cookies — what would eventually become my Chunkers.
It started with just three flavors, but they quickly took on a life of their own. Today, Chunkers have grown into the main part of my business, with 25 rotating flavors at any given time.
